Aloha and welcome to Central Union Church Preschool and Kindergarten!

Through the pioneering efforts of fourteen mothers of Central Union Church the foundation was laid for the future.  On the morning of October 16, 1928, fourteen children walked through the garden gates to experience the very first day of school at Central Union Church Preschool and Kindergarten (CUPS).  In the decades that followed, the commitment to excellence has provided educational experiences that transformed the lives of many children and their families.

Over the years, CUPS has grown to meet the needs of today’s families.  Today, 181 children ages 2 – 6 explore and learn in a setting that is transforming.  We are blessed to have a wonderful faculty and staff whose knowledge and experience nurture all areas of a child’s growth:  cognitive, social, emotional, physical and spiritual; transforming the lives of both the children and their families.  Utilizing a blended philosophical approach allows faculty to create a curriculum based on children’s interests and needs.

Working with alumni families, current families, various community organizations and individuals, enables CUPS to continue to provide an enriched experience for all.  A blend of traditions and innovation allows CUPS to continue to transform.

The process of renovating our campus continues in planned phases that will provide modern, yet cozy cottages in a spacious and peaceful garden setting.  We encourage you to come and experience CUPS.

Joyfully yours,
Veronique Braithwaite
