GENERAL ADMISSION INFORMATION
It is recommended that parents arrange a visit to tour the campus prior to submitting their child’s application and non-refundable $55 application fee, payable online. You may schedule a tour by calling the main office at: (808) 946-4025. Tours for the Preschool Program [3-5 years old] are given on Tuesdays and Thursdays in October and November. Tours for the ‘Ohana Toddler Program [2 years old] are given on Tuesdays and Thursdays in February.
Admission Observations and Assessments are scheduled for all applicants to the Preschool Program in January.
Applicants to the ‘Ohana Toddler Program (2 years-old) do not participate in observations. The submission and receipt of Toddler application for the upcoming school year begins Jan. 5 through Feb. 28.
ALL parents must submit the completed Confidential Parent Questionnaire, Pastoral form, and online application fee in order for their child’s application file to be considered complete.

Financial Assistance is awarded on the basis of financial need through the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation, the Ruth McGraw/Doris Rewick Scholarship Fund, and the Luana Kalama Mento Endowed Scholarship Fund, as well as the support of the Central Union Church Preschool and Kindergarten endowment fund that is supported in part through preschool fundraising events. The deadline for submitting Financial Aid Applications is February 15th.
Admission Application
A non-refundable $55.00 application fee must be paid online with submission of application and all required documents. None receipt of any of the above will result in an incomplete application.

PROGRAMS
‘OHANA TODDLER ADMISSION (2-year-old program)
Our toddler program serving 2-year-olds is a wonderful start for children preparing to enter school for the first time. Beginning in 2006 we have been pleased to offer this program that has proven to be very popular.
Each teacher is certified for this very special age group and the program offers both part-time and full-time options for families, which are: Toddler Morning (7:30-11:30 am) OR Toddler Full Day (7:30am-2:30 pm). Extended morning or after care is not available for the toddler program.
Applications for the ‘Ohana Toddler program are accepted beginning January 5. Applications must be fully completed via the online portal by Feb. 28. Any completed application post Feb. 28 will be automatically placed on the waitlist. Children must be 2 years old by the program start date (August) and do not need to be toilet trained.
‘OHANA TODDLER open application period for the upcoming school year runs from January 5 – February 28.
PRESCHOOL (3-5-year-old program)
Since 1928, when the first class of children began their education at Central Union Church, this has become our foundation program. We are proud to have served so many families and offer eight classrooms for children ranging from ages 3-5.
The regular program is offered 7:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. with options for before and after school care. Additional fees apply.
The Preschool program open application process is made available online and is reviewed starting September 1 for admission for the following Fall Preschool program. Children must turn 3 years old by the end of the calendar year & and be fully toilet trained to be eligible for the program. Applications must be completed entirely and submitted via online portal by Nov.30. Any completed application post Nov.30, be will automatically be placed on the waiting list.
WE ARE ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR UPCOMING 25-26 SCHOOL YEAR FOR THE PRESCHOOL PROGRAM (3-5 year olds). Open application period runs from September 1 – November 30. ‘OHANA TODDLER Program open application period for the 25-26 SY will run from January 5 – February 28.
SUMMER PROGRAM FOR PRESCHOOL ONLY
We offer a 5 week program in the June & July months for those newly accepted and returning children enrolled into CUPS Preschool Program for the upcoming school year. Summer sessions days are Monday – Friday (except for July 4th holiday) and offers the following programs:
- Regular Day Program, 7:30 a.m.– 2:30 p.m.
- Before School Care, 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 a.m.
- After School Care, 2:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. (** availability of Summer ASC is subject to change based on staffing)
Information and application process for the summer programs are available in March and are due by April.
Summer school applications must include a $55.00 processing fee. Tuition must be paid in full by May 1. Enrollment for CUPS Summer program is currently ONLY available enrolled students and new incoming Central Union Church Preschool students. Information on cost and other program information can be obtained by contacting the preschool office at (808) 946-4025. Summer session is NOT available for incoming toddlers.
EXTRACURRICULAR PROGRAMS
A host of extracurricular programs are offered both during the regular school year and summer which may include activities such as: Dance, Ukulele, Menehune Sports, and Soccer Shots. To find out more about a specific offering, please contact the preschool office at (808) 946-4025.
